MATCH ACADEMY TIP!
 

When performing the step-over part of the U-Turn Step-Over, make sure to sell the dummy to the defender by making it look like you’re going to perform a fast touch away from yourself. This will make the defender speed up while you change direction and leave them choking on your dust!

BALL MASTERY – FANCY TOE TAPS
 

  1. Tap the top of the ball with the sole of your left foot, repeat using the sole of your right foot.

  2. Bring your left foot to the right side of the ball. Reach behind your standing leg with your right foot and tap the ball.

  3. Repeat the action, working both feet equally, start slowly and gradually speed up making sure to have eyes-up while performing the skill.

1 V 1 MIRROR MOVES – U-TURN
 

  1. Take a touch forward with your left foot.

  2. Now use the ball part of your right foot on top of the ball to change direction.

  3. Accelerate away with your right foot!

    Make sure to work both feet equally!

  1. Take a touch forward with your left foot.

  2. Now use the ball part of your right foot on top of the ball to change direction.

  3. Use the same foot to step-over the ball and touch away, accelerate away with your left foot.
