Aaron Ramsdale faced a lot of criticism for being overpriced when he was bought by The Gunners, but has shown immense potential this season! Priced below £5 million, he’s proving to be a great asset for managers who already own him. Having already accumulated 25 saves and five clean sheets in eight appearances, Ramsdale with his match winning performances has surely stolen the spotlight between the sticks this season!

Defensive assets have been the main source of points this season! Reece James has found a great outlet of attack under Thomas Tuchel as he seems to be given a lot of freedom to play in an advanced position in the final third. The England international has managed to create three big chances and has scored four goals!

Now I move onto João Cancelo. Cancelo has proved that he can play on both flanks as a full back and is a prominent part of the City team. He has the highest number of penalty area touches among defenders in the league till this point and is second for expected goal involvement (xGi). Furthermore, Cancelo’s attacking threat is amplified by the stat that he has the highest number of goal attempts amongst all defenders!

The highest-owned defender in the league, Trent Alexander-Arnold is having a great season yet again. Trent being on free-kick and corner duty adds to this value as a fantasy asset. Trent has created thirty chances this season (out of which six were big chances) which means that he has potential to deliver on both ends of the field. And he certainly is delivering!

The surprise asset of this season was none other than Tino Livramento. Livramento started from a price tag of £4 million and till present, his stock has risen to 4.6 million. He is turning out to be quite the bargain as he has managed to score once and has kept clean-sheets in five matches!

Moving on towards the midfielders, first and foremost would be the Egyptian King, Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has managed to score ten goals in eleven appearances in the Premier League this season and is hitting astronomical heights. Salah is top in the league for shots in the box, xG, expected goal involvement (xGi) and big chances created this season. He is in such a rich vein of form that he has taken the captaincy element out of the game – it is so obvious who to captain every week!

Next up would be Salah’s attacking partner, Sadio Mane. Mane has not been in the spotlight as much but has been almost just as good as Salah. The Senegal international has managed to score six times and truth be told, it could have been many more given the big chances that have fallen to him. Mane has been shadowed by Salah’s brilliance, but he has been consistently scoring points as well.

Two other midfielders that have really come to the spotlight are England internationals Connor Gallagher and Emile Smith-Rowe, who have been very prolific for their clubs. Both players are very cheap budget enablers and have proven to be amazing differential assets to own!

Very few forwards have stolen the limelight this season so they were easy to narrow down! I start with the Jamaican international, Michail Antonio. Antonio has been in amazing form for West Ham, managing to score six times and posting incredible numbers in the process. The Hammers striker is top among forwards for shots in the box, big chances and xG this season!

The other striker who has been very prolific in front of goal is Jamie Vardy! Vardy might have lost the pace and acceleration he had a few seasons ago, but his hunger and instinct is still there. Vardy has fallen off the radar in recent weeks but he’s still scored seven times this season and this is despite the fact that Leicester have not hit top gear yet!
