The PREMIER LEAGUE season came to an end on Sunday, and it’s been one to remember! MATCH takes a closer look at the highs and lows from the 2020-21 campaign!

It might seem like Man. City have had the title in the bag for ages, but after 20 games Man. United and Leicester were still in the race, while six different teams have been top of the table throughout the season! You have to hand it to Pep Guardiola’s side, though – they’ve looked levels above the rest since the start of 2021!

In four of the past five Premier League seasons, either Harry Kane or Mohamed Salah have won the Prem Golden Boot – and the two goal machines were locked in a battle again this season!

We’ve been treated to tons of twists and turns this season and some jaw-droppingly good games; Aston Villa’s 7-2 win over Liverpool, Tottenham’s 6-1 Old Trafford thrashing of Man. United, Burnley ending Liverpool’s 68-game Anfield unbeaten run, Southampton losing 9-0 AGAIN! We could go and on…

Spare a thought for poor Chris Wilder…After his side’s epic 2019-20 when they finished 9th, we didn’t expect Sheffield United to struggle as much as they have done this campaign! Wilder was sacked, The Blades suffered the joint-earliest relegation in Premier League history and equalled their record number of league defeats in a single season!

The big bosses of the Premier League’s so-called “Big Six” tried to flex their muscles by joining a new European Super League, without any conversations with their own players or fans! It obviously got shut down and, ironically, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool have struggled to even finish in the top six in the Prem this season!

We know supporters have now slowly started to make their way back into stadiums, but we’ve massively missed seeing fans at games this season! Fingers crossed that everything starts getting back to normal soon and there are more and more sits filled in stadiums across the country in 2021-22!
