HOW IT WORKS…

We’ve picked out eight sides we think could still make the top four! Each team gets four points for a winning a category, three points for coming second, two points for third and one for fourth. Let’s get things started…

MATCH WINNER

Bruno Fernandes was the first Prem player to reach 25 goal involvements this season, although Harry Kane had played fewer games! The Prem’s top scorer Mohamed Salah also registered 20 PL goals and assists combined from 23 matches, while MATCH is shouting out to Villa skipper Jack Grealish for a fantastic 2020-21!

ASTON VILLA 4th

MANAGER

Jurgen Klopp received some stick last month, but we still rate him as one of the top two gaffers in the Prem! Brendan Rodgers is proving what a class act he is in the dugout, while Carlo Ancelotti is a proven winner and Thomas Tuchel has an exciting reputation!

LIVERPOOL 1st

FORM

These four teams had the brightest starts to 2021, with Thomas Tuchel revitalising The Blues and David Moyes working wonders at West Ham! Almost every team in the Prem has struggled for consistency this season, so a good run of form from now on will be key to finishing top four!

MAN. UNITED 4th

HOME RECORD

It’s been a historic year at Anfield, but for the wrong reasons – The Reds lost their epic unbeaten run with losses to Burnley and Brighton! They still gained more points after 13 home games than the likes of Aston Villa, Leicester, Man. United and Spurs!

AWAY RECORD

Man. United’s 28 points away from home after 12 Prem games was a league high! The Foxes were just a point behind after the same number of away games, while Everton, West Ham, Villa, Chelsea and Spurs were all in the top eight!

Taking into account the last five seasons, Spurs and Liverpool have both finished in the top four on four occasions – although Spurs only managed sixth last campaign! Chelsea have made the top four in three of the last four seasons and Man. United twice!

United – but not necessarily in that order! Our tally suggests Chelsea could just miss out on the top four, while West Ham are set to make the Europa League for the first time in ages.
