MATCH catches up with ENGLAND and TOTTENHAM superstar striker HARRY KANE!

KANE SAYS: “The gaffer started in November and had two quick games in less than a week, and it was all about saving energy and not training too hard. He didn’t have much time to put his philosophy down, but we still won three games out of three. We’ve still got a long season ahead of us and we’re going to get to know each other even more over time – and then implement what he wants from us!”

KANE SAYS: “We’ve got a good relationship so far. We talk and try to help the team. Obviously, as I’m one of the leaders in the team, he looks to me for feelings and vibes – and when you’re winning matches it definitely helps! Hopefully we can build a strong relationship – we know we both want to win competitions. That’s mine, the manager and the team’s aim!”

KANE SAYS: “Being called one of the world’s best strikers is fantastic praise to receive from the gaffer – it definitely gives you confidence going forward and into each game. But I still want to do well and work hard for the team once I’m back fit, and hopefully I can keep scoring goals and we can keep winning games, because the season didn’t start great for us.”

KANE SAYS: “As always, we aim to win a trophy, but the Premier League’s too far gone now. The top four is really important for the club as well, we know that. We just have to believe and see what happens. If we keep doing what we’re doing, step by step, hopefully we can go all the way!”

KANE SAYS: “Three points against Olympiacos at home qualified us with a match to spare, and that was important. We’ve done what we did last season in getting to the knockout stages, and we have to take that positive energy and try to go that bit further this year!”

KANE SAYS: “Dele’s been in great form! Everyone talks about the old Dele, but he just has to keep doing what he’s doing. He’s a fantastic player and a fantastic guy, and it’s great to see him scoring and assisting goals, and running at players!”

KANE SAYS: “We need everyone in this team to perform if we want to go far in competitions – and that’s what we’re looking to do! We’ve got a quality squad, one of the best in Europe. In football, sometimes if things don’t go your way it’s easy to drop your levels a little bit and you end up going on a downward spiral, but we want to go upwards!”
