The wicked DORTMUND wonderkid chats about life in Germany, his favourite ever footballer and playing for ENGLAND!

LEAVING ENGLAND!

JADON SAYS: “Moving from home was a big challenge. I live in Germany with my dad, so I miss my mum and sisters a lot. But I want to be a pro footballer for the long-term, so I have to do what’s best for my career – and make myself and my family happy.”

GERMAN LIFE!

JADON SAYS: “I’m a London boy and there is a lot of noise in London, whereas in Germany I can come back from training and just chill in my own space, and that’s nice – I like it quiet. The food is alright – Schnitzel is very nice. Learning German is a bit difficult, but I’ve got a few words. I’ve still got a long way to go – danke schon!”

THE BUNDESLIGA!

JADON SAYS: “I like it a lot. The culture is different. Obviously the fans have so much passion for the game and they obviously support me every week. There are around 80,000 people in the stadium for our games, so it’s very noisy! It’s not every day you get to play in front of 80,000 people, so it’s a dream come true!”

WEARING THE NO.7 SHIRT!

JADON SAYS: “I was a bit surprised to be offered Ousmane Dembele’s old No.7 shirt, but then I realised, ‘Why not?’ I believe in myself, so why not have it? Obviously I have to say thank you to the manager for playing, trusting and believing in me.”

DESCRIBING HIS STYLE!

JADON SAYS: “I would say I’m a bit tricky, direct and obviously confident. I also believe in myself in one-v-one situations. That sums me up, really!”

LEARNING HIS GAME!

JADON SAYS: “Christian Pulisic is another young guy and I’m learning from him. His confidence in taking on players, whether there are four or five guys around him, is great. ‘You have just got to do your thing – that’s why you’re here. You’ve got to make everyone understand. You’re Jadon Sancho!’ That’s what he tells me!”

FAVOURITE FOOTBALLER!

JADON SAYS: “Growing up, I used to watch Ronaldinho on YouTube. That was a big thing for me. I liked how he used to carry his team with his performances. He used to try things that no-one else would try and that made me like him a lot.”

PLAYING FOR ENGLAND!

JADON SAYS: “It means a lot to me, because when I was a young kid I always dreamed of playing for my country. That is the biggest thing that could ever happen to a young kid like me, so I am really grateful for the opportunity. I hope that I can progress with the team and see what happens in the future. It’s exciting!”

PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFER LINKS!

JADON SAYS: “I don’t know what to say to that! That’s one for the future. You never know what could happen, so we will wait and see.”
