MATCH chats to Burnley wing wizard Johann Berg Gudmundsson to find out all about The Clarets’ squad!
JOHANN SAYS: “Aaron Lennon, especially over the first few metres. He’s extremely quick, so I’d have to say him. Charlie Taylor’s really quick once he gets going as well, but Aaron is just so explosive!”
THE HARD MAN!
JOHANN SAYS: “Phil Bardsley is really strong and so is James Tarkowski. If it came down to a big Royal Rumble I’d probably back Phil, though. He likes boxing, and in training he loves getting stuck in!”
JOHANN SAYS: “To be fair, everybody’s really on it in training, but I’d give it to Robbie Brady. He’s just so sharp, always on it, always wants the ball and just loves playing football. He’s also probably our most skilful player!”
JOHANN SAYS: “That would be Ashley Barnes – he can complain! He’s not too bad in training or in games, but away from the pitch he’s always moaning about something!”
BEST GOAL IN TRAINING!
JOHANN SAYS: “I scored a bicycle-kick earlier this season where a few people stopped and applauded, so I’d have to pick that one! Nobody else has received an applause since I started playing for Burnley!”
JOHANN SAYS: “Probably Tom Heaton or Ben Mee. They’re both doing their coaching badges and their football knowledge is really good. They’re just really into football, talk about it a lot and obviously have plans to go into it once they’ve stopped playing.”
THE MOST INTELLIGENT
JOHANN SAYS: “I’d say Ben Mee – whenever we go on away trips he’s always reading books, so he stands out. Charlie Taylor is the opposite – some of the things he says are just funny!”
THE MOST VAIN!
JOHANN SAYS: “To be fair, we don’t have many of them at Burnley, but if I had to pick oneI’d say Phil Bardsley. He always likes to look nice, dresses well and is always checking out his hair, so I’d have to say him!”
