Flying ENGLAND full-back KIERAN TRIPPIER chats to MATCH about The Three Lions!

KIERAN SAYS: “Everyone can see the youth, pace and quality that we have. Everybody steps up and does a job when they’re called upon. Our squad is young and hungry, and we’re all ready to play, so everyone has to work and train hard in every session to ensure we keep improving.”

KIERAN SAYS: “Being known as a World Cup player is fantastic! You have to remember, I only made my debut in 2017 for England against France, so going to the World Cup was amazing! I worked really hard all season with Tottenham and I’m delighted to have gone.”

KIERAN SAYS: “I try to get forward as much as possible and create as much as I can – and 3-5-2 is the perfect system for me. In that formation, you’ve got the number eight at the tip of the diamond, so every time I get on the ball there’s an option. The manager plays this system and we do well with it.”

KIERAN SAYS: “I watched the last World Cup with my dad. He had a huge screen in his garden – I can’t even tell you how big it was – so me playing in one is very different! My dad’s just a mad England fan, so he is very proud – and that’s how it should be!”
