Flying FRANCE and EVERTON full-back LUCAS DIGNE chats to MATCH about his time in the Premier League so far!

ADAPTING TO THE PREM!

LUCAS SAYS: “The Premier League is very different to La Liga, especially the intensity and one-on-one duels. I’m not complaining, though – I love this league! I can’t say I prefer one or the other. In the Premier League, there aren’t as many breaks in play as in La Liga and you have less time on the ball. I love it here, though!”

GOODISON PARK!

LUCAS SAYS: “The atmosphere is great at Goodison Park. The fans always support you and the team, and they’re always there for us – it’s an amazing experience to play here! I feel like I have a connection with the supporters already – and sure, when we win, even more so!”

OBJECTIVES!

LUCAS SAYS: “We want to get a good run of form going and, ideally, finish this season better than where we were at the end of last season. We want to keep growing as a team – we have a lot of quality in the squad and we can always try to do better.”

PERSONAL GOALS!

LUCAS SAYS: “The most important thing for me is my club form. If I can perform well for Everton, then I have more chances of playing regularly for France, as well. Obviously, the coach then has to select you, but if I can play my best for my club then later we will see what happens!”

PLAYING STYLE!

LUCAS SAYS: “We try to play with an offensive mentality. Marco Silva likes us to play possession football, and wants us to try to recover the ball quickly when we lose it – which is more or less the same style as when I was at Barcelona. The boss is close to the players – he talks to us a lot and we are happy with him.”
