The in-form CHELSEA and ENGLAND midfielder chats about improving his game with The Blues and returning to the Three Lions set-up!
BARKLEY SAYS: “I’ve got lots of confidence in my ability and I’m showing that now. As the season goes on, I believe I’ll continue to improve all aspects of my game and carry on scoring goals and getting assists. I hope we’ll achieve success – I’ve got lots more to give!”
BARKLEY SAYS: “With my new manager, I understand how important it is to take little details on in my learning. It gives you a lot of confidence when your manager backs you. Things are going really well for me now and I’m fully focused on improving and kicking on!”
PLAYING WITH HAZARD
BARKLEY SAYS: “He’s a magnificent player! You can see with how he’s started the new season that you don’t get many like him. He’s capable of magic at any moment, and for a player like that to say such great things about me is fantastic. I’d love to play with him for many more years to come.”
THE NEW LAMPARD?
BARKLEY SAYS: “Frank was a fantastic player. I believe I’m a different player, but I hope to bring all of that quality to the table. I’m ready to add more goals and assists to my game. I’ve been working hard on it in training and I believe that’s what’s coming my way!”
BACK WITH ENGLAND!
BARKLEY SAYS: “I’m over the moon to be back as an England player! It’s been a long time coming, but I feel like I’ve worked really hard over the last couple of years and I fully deserve to be back. I’ve had difficult times but I’ve kept a positive mind, and fitness-wise I’m feeling as good as I’ve ever felt!”
MISSING THE WORLD CUP!
BARKLEY SAYS: “It was frustrating because playing for England means the world to me. I’d had a difficult season through injuries and a few little niggles, but
I was proud to see the lads doing really well – and it was great seeing how proud the country was of all the boys!”
BRIGHT ENGLAND FUTURE!
BARKLEY SAYS: “We have the players to compete with the big nations and we have an identity now. We went to the WC and got to the semi-finals and we’re definitely going in the right direction. I believe I can bring something different to the England side, long-term.”
ROSS' QUALITY ADVICE!
BARKLEY SAYS: “As a young player, you must never take your foot off the pedal. You have to continue to work hard, improve and add to your game. Young lads that’ve been added to England’s senior squad recently have shown quality from the start of the season and have unbelievable ability!”
